Day by Day Itinerary
 
Day 1 Beijing
On arrival, CITS guide will hold a welcome sign to meet you. You will be transferred to the hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax.

Day 2 Beijing
Morning:
Take a half-day excursion to explore the incredible Forbidden City with its grand palaces and courtyards. Built in 1420, it was here that 24 emperors lived and ruled for over 500 years. The South Gate leads you to Tian'anmen Square - the biggest of its kind in the world.
Afternoon:
Continue to the beautiful Summer Palace where you can discover gardens, palaces and pavilions with temples and halls in a tranquil, landscaped lakeside setting. Explore the Temple of Heaven which itself has become a symbol of the city. Here ancient emperor worshipped God and prayed for harvest.

Day 3 Beijing
Morning:
You will take a half-day guided visit to the awesome Great Wall of China. Here you can enjoy the stunning views as you stroll along this seemingly endless piece of history, which winds its way into the far distance.
Afternoon:
Continue to the Ming Tombs, which due to their enormity took over 200 years to complete.

Day 4 Beijing to Dunhuang
Morning:
Take a flight to Dunhuang, which was an important place along the Silk Road. Meet the guide at the Airport.
Afternoon:
Have a visit to Mingsha Sand Dune and Crescent-Moon Spring, and take a ride on camelback. Transfer to the hotel after dinner.

Day 5 Dunhuang to Turpan
Have a full day visit to Mogao Grottoes and Dunhuang Mesuem, which will provide you a better understanding of the great Mogao Grottoes. Transfer to the rail station and take an overnight soft sleeper train to Turpan.

Day 6 Turpan
Morning:
Arrive at Turpan and meet the guide. You will have a Sightseeing of the Ancient City of Gaochang, the ancient walled capital of the Uighurs that flourished between the 7th and 14th centuries and the Emin Minaret (Su Gong Ta).
Afternoon:
Continue to the amazing 2,000-year-old Karez Irrigation Tunnels, which brought water from melting snow on the mountains to this parched city.

Day 7 Turpan
Morning:
A tour of the ruins of Jiaohe City, where large fragments of actual streets and buildings will be seen.
Afternoon:
You will have half-day visit to the Bizaklik Thousand Buddha Caves, and the Grape Valley where you will take a walk along the grape corridor.

Day 8 Turpan to Urumqi
Morning:
You will take a three-hour drive to Urumqi by the private car.
Afternoon:
You are free for the rest of the day.

Day 9 Urumuqi
Enjoy a full day excursion to the Heavenly Lake, nestled in the Heavenly Mountain (Tianshan Mountain) range. Transfer to the hotel after dinner.

Day 10 Urumuqi to Kashgar
You could go to the local bazaar on your own this morning. And take the overnight train which departs at afternoon to Kashgar, a center for trade between China and the outside world for 2000 years.

Day 11 Kashgar
Morning:
Arrive at Kashgar in the noon.
Afternoon:
Explore the Stone City which was famous for its location at the junction of the middle and south of the ancient Silk Road.

Day 12 Kashgar
A full day to visit the Id Kah Emin mosque, one of the largest in China, and the Tomb of the Fragrant Lady.

Day 13 Kashgary to Urumqi
Morning:
Explore the Old Town Area of Kashgar.
Afternoon:
Take the overnight train to Urumqi.

Day 14 Urumuqi to Beijing
Arrive at Urumqi in the noon, take the flight to Beijing. After transferring to the hotel you are free to relax or explore.

Day 15 Beijing
Transfer to the airport for your flight to your homeland. Alternatively, extend your stay.
