As the key works of Guangzhou City of Guangdong Province, and jointly built by the province, city and Yue Xiu Group with an investment of RMB 4 billion, Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Center is a large-scale comprehensive convention center integrating convention, exhibition, hotel, performance, banquet and office building into a whole. The built Baiyun International Convention Center will be managed by Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Center Co., Ltd., specially established for the project by the Oriental Hotel Group under Yue Xiu Group.
Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Center is located at where the Oriental Amusement Park used to stand in the Baiyun New Town and overlooks the Baiyun Mountain Scenic Area and the Oriental Resort, with Baiyun Street on the east, Jichangdong Road where the Baiyun Airport used to be on the west, the Oriental Pearl Garden on the south and Guangzhou new gymnasium on the north. The traffic is very convenient. Jinchangdong Road and Huanchangbei Road that are being planned, as well as the extended Subway No. 2 and Subway No. 14 surround the conventions center, and there are many buses reaching the main stations in the downtown area. More than 40 international air routes of the new Baiyun International Airport reach all places of the world.
The Convention Center covers a total gross floor area of 316,000m2, with main buildings including the convention exhibition center of block B, C and D, and supporting Oriental International Convention Hotel of block A and E. The Convention Center possesses a convention venue of more than 100,000m2, exhibition venue of nearly 30,000㎡ and more than 1100 guest rooms as well as a total of 65 all varieties of conference halls, including 2500-seat great hall of the century, 250-seat conference hall specially for presidium and medium-size conference hall, one 1200-seat south China conference hall, two 500-seat international conference halls, 21 medium-size conference halls named after prefecture-level cities, oriental banqueting hall and so on. The venue is equipped with simultaneous translation system, e-voting system, central control system, speaking system and voice controlled system, audio video e-record system and other internally advanced facilities and equipments to meet the needs of conferences of all scales and types. Oriental International Convention Hotel is divided into south tower (block A) and north one, which covers a land area of 140,000m2, possesses 1112 guest rooms, and enjoys perfect supporting facilities and a complete set of service items.

Oriental International Convention Hotel is divided into south tower and north one which is situated in each side of Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Center including No. 1 building (north tower) and No. 5 building (south tower) in proper sequence of buildings. The two towers have a total of 999 guest rooms, with 973 deluxe and superior rooms, 22 deluxe suites and 2 presidential suites.
