Huangshan University is located in Huangshan, a picturesque city with a rich cultural background in Anhui province. Founded in 1978, it was named Huizhou Teacher's College, renamed Huangshan Junior College in December of1997, and in February of 2002 given university status and renamed Huangshan University.
Huangshan University boasts both a north and south campus with a total area of about 120 hectares. Its building area is about 350,000 square meters. The total value of the teaching equipment amounts to over 480,000,000 RMB. The University library has a collection of more than 920,000 volumes. In recent years, the University has been carrying out a rapid construction plan, which is changing the appearance of the University every day.
