Category of Programs of Huazhong Agricultural University
Undergraduate Programs
Currently, Huazhong Agricultural University offers 17 undergraduate programs to international students. The undergraduate programs have a schooling system of 4 years, except that the Veterinary Medicine program requires 5 years. The programs are delivered in Chinese. Bachelor's degree and graduation certificate are awarded to those who have finished all the course work required and passed thesis defense.
Graduate Programs
At present, Huazhong Agricultural University offers 31 Master's and 26 Doctoral programs to international students. Master's programs have usually a schooling system of 2-3 years, and Doctoral programs 3-4 years. Certificates of degrees and graduation will be awarded to those finishing all the course work and passing thesis/dissertation defense.

Visiting Student / Advanced Study Programs
Foreign students who are willing to take courses or do research at Huazhong Agricultural University as a visiting student may apply to International Student Office, Huazhong Agricultural University. It is suggested that before submitting applications, the applicants ask for advice from their supervisor/tutor in home institute and discuss with supervisor/tutor of Huazhong Agricultural University.
Chinese Language Program
Any qualified foreigner can apply to International Student Office, Huazhong Agricultural University for this program.

Note
Among the list which labeled with★ are of both medium of English and Chinese; at least 10 students in one class for Undergraduate and Master Programs in medium of English, while no limitation for Doctor Programs.
1. Qualification of Applicants
For Degree and Scholar applicants:
(1)Applicants for undergraduate program must have senior high school diploma.
(2) Applicants for master's degree program must have bachelor's degree.
(3)Applicants for doctoral degree program must have master's degree.
(4)Applicants for general scholar program must have completed at least two years of undergraduate study.
(5)Applicants for senior scholar program must have master's degree or above, or hold academic titles of associate professor or above.
For Chinese language applicants:
(1)Application should be interested in the Chinese language and Chinese culture.
(2)Applicants need to have a formal education background at the high school level or above.
(3)The applicant under the age of 18 should submit letters of approval of the legal guardians.
2. Documents for Application
For Degree and Scholar applicants:
(1) An Application Form for Admission of Foreign Students of Huazhong Agricultural University filled by the applicant in Chinese/English, with his curriculum vitae in Chinese/English appended.
(2)Final schooling certificate (the copies should be notarized), and a reference letter from the employer or institution affiliated. Both texts in other languages except Chinese & English should be appended with Chinese/English version.
(3)Schooling records (the copies should be notarized) of high school graduation/final examinations (for undergraduate students) / of courses taken for bachelor's degree and above (for the others). Texts in other languages except Chinese & English should be appended with a Chinese/English version.
(4)Learning/Studying plan (no less than 200 words for undergraduates; no less than 400 words for advanced students; no less than 500 words for graduates) in Chinese/English.
(5)Two recommendations in Chinese/English by professors/associate professors of correlated disciplines (for graduates and senior advanced students)
(6)Physical Examination Record for Foreigner filled in English. The applicants should have physical examination in strict accordance with requirements in the form for the record. The record is invalid with blanks/no official seal across the perforation between the photo and the form. As the record is valid for 6 months, time for examination should be fixed accordingly. Please select the appropriate time to take medical examination due to the 6-months validity of the medical results.
(7)Duplication of the applicant's passport
For Chinese language applicants:
(1) An Application Form for Admission of Foreign Students of Huazhong Agricultural University filled by the applicant in Chinese/English, with his curriculum vitae in Chinese/English appended.
(2)Final schooling certificate (the copies should be notarized), and a reference letter from the employer or institution affiliated. Both texts in other languages except Chinese & English should be appended with Chinese/English version.
(3) One photocopy of your passport
Please submit the application documents listed above to International Student Office, Huazhong Agricultural University by email, fax or post between.
3. Application Schedule
Undergraduate program and Chinese language program: from the March 1st to April 30th .
Graduate program and Visiting Scholar program: from November 1st to December 30th for Spring Semester, from March 1st to April 30th for Fall Semester.
4. Review and Notification
The admission committee in the department/school will review the application documents. If admitted, the Admission Notice and Visa Application Form for Study in China (JW202) will be sent to the admitted students as soon as possible.
5. Visa Application and Admission Registration
The admitted students should bring their personal and ordinary passport, Admission Notice, Visa Application Form (JW202/ JW201), and original Form of Physical Examination Record for Foreigners as well as other original documents of physical examination to the Embassy or Consulate of the People's Republic of China, and apply for a student visa (X visa). Information needed for arranging the trip to HZAU after the admission is provided to the student punctually. Students shall come to International Student Office, Huazhong Agricultural University for admission registration before the deadline indicated on the Admission Notice. Students must use personal and ordinary passport and X visa, and must apply for a Residence Permit within 30 days after arriving in China.

7.Accommodation
The campus of HZAU is located in Wuhan, the biggest city and transportation hub in Central China.
Dorm for international student is single room with air conditioner, refrigerator, internet access, telephone, private bathroom (shower provided), and necessary furniture. The charge for lodgings is RMB 32Yuan /day. The hostel has all conveniences such as kitchen, laundry room and computer room, etc.
