Inner Mongolia University for Nationalities was founded in 1958.
It is the only university known for its distinctive local feature and comprehensive ethnic characteristics in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
The university is located in the east of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in Tong Liao city called Pearl which is well known for the Horqin grassland. Tong Liao city is convenient in transportation. The east of it links to Jilin Province, and the West links to Liaoning Province. Six train lines and eight bus lines are crossed here all together.
Inner Mongolia University for International Exchange Institute (Foreign Affairs Office) is specializing in international educational exchanges and cooperation in teaching, but also the department of foreign affairs.
