Software Engineering
To train advanced and all-round developed experts in software engineering management and application with ideal general accomplishments and profession ethics; mastery of software theories and the basic software engineering knowledge; advanced ability in software design and development, arranging and organizing projects of engineering and computer English application.
The students of the major are to master the structure and principles of modern computer and the basic related theories and knowledge of software engineering; be familiar with the new development and achievement of the specialty and related fields; learn the methods of standardizing computer software development;
Have great ability in analyzing, designing, developing and managing system software and applied software; master a foreign language and be able to read and translate printed material of the specialty in the foreign language; meet the basic requirements of the College English Curriculum for Trial Implementation and pass Band Two Computer Test for College Students of Non-computer Majors in Jiangsu Province.

Application procedure
1.Applicants lodge their applications including 250YuanRMB application fee with School for Overseas Students, Soochow University.
2.Soochow University makes the assessment of the applications and sends the qualified applicants the " JW202 Form","Admission Notice" and the "Physical Examination Record of Foreigners".
3.Applicants go to Chinese embassy or consulate in their home country to obtain visa and make travel arrangements.
4.Applicants arrive and register as required in the "Admission Notice".
