The First Cross-Strait Aerospace Culture Camp Starts
The opening ceremony of the first Cross-straight Aerospace Culture Camp was held on July, 1st. Over 80 students of 13 universities from Taiwan attend the 5-day camp for the series of lectures on aerospace and Chinese traditional culture. They will also visit NPU campus and historic attractions in Xi’an. 10 students from the member universities 0f Excellence Allianceare are invited to join in, since NPU is the 2013 rotating president university. This Camp aims to provide a better understanding of the development of Chinese aerospace science and technology for Taiwan youth and to enhance the communication among the universities between Taiwan and Mainland.
Accompanied with officials from relevant departments, Li Dongyu, the vice President of Shaanxi Province People's Political Consultative Conference, Yan Chaoying, He Rui, from Shannxi Taiwan Affairs Office, and Chen Xiaozhu, Secretary of the Party Committee of NPU attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.
Mr. Chen Yijian, Chinese famous aircraft designing expert, the academician of China Engineering Academy, the Father of FBC-1, started the first lecture "The Development of Aircraft and its Key Technology",to have sketched out the development of civil aircraft, military aircraft and unmanned air vehicle.
