Day 01Arrival in Qingdao
Our guide will meet you outside the baggage claim area at Qingdao Airport and transfer you to the hotel. The rest of the day is on your own to explore the city.
Description: Qingdao is a charming coastal city where blue sea and exuberant trees are available all year round. In China, it is one of the most comfortable places to live in. During the rest time, you could have a walk by yourself along the seashore or go to the well-designed Music Square and the modern Huiquan Square. It is also a good idea to have a try of the local Lu Cai which is one of the famous Chinese eight cuisines.
Day 02Qingdao - Mt. Laoshan
Full day tour to Mt. Laoshan, the Taiqing Palace and the Xiaoyushan Hill Park.(B+L)
Description: Mt. Laoshan - Mt. Laoshan is located to the east of Qingdao City and on the southeastern Shandong Peninsula. Facing to the Yellow Sea on two sides, this mountain spans a coastline of 87 kilometers which enhances the charming natural sceneries of Laoshan. It is also noted for its Taoist culture for a long time where lots of Taoist ancient buildings are left. During its peak time, there were nine palaces, eight Taoist temples and seventy-two nunneries coexisted here.
Taiqing Palace - Take the southern line of visiting the Mt. Laoshan, you will find the Taiqing Palace at the peak. Originally built in the Northern Song Dynasty, this palace is the largest Taoist building of Mt. Laoshan with an area of 30,000 square meters. The whole palace consists of three parts-the Sanqing Hall in the middle, the Sanguan Hall to the east and the Sanhuang Hall to the west.
Xiaoyushan Hill Park - Although this park is just 60 meters above the sea level, it supplies the best vision of overlooking the Zhan Bridge, Small Qingdao Islet, Lu Xun Park and some other scenic spots in Qingdao. From the park's main building-the three-storey Lanchao Pavilion, you could get a marvelous landscape featuring azure sky, blue sea, green trees, red tiles and yellow walls.
Day 03Departure from Qingdao
Visit the Small Qingdao Island, the Zhan Bridge and the No. 1 Bathing Beach. Then you will be transferred to the airport for your homeward flight.(B)
Description:
Small Qingdao Island - This island is situated to the southeastern end of the Zhan Bridge, which is covered with lush trees and is surrounded by the blue Qingdao Bay. A 15.5-meter-high white lighthouse is erected on the island, which could give a great night scene for this city.
Zhan Bridge - The 400-meter-long and 10-meter-wide Bridge is the landmark of Qingdao City, which is extended into to the sea from the prosperous Zhongshan Lu in the urban area. At the south end, there is the octagonal Huilan Pavilion, with which the Zhan Bridge and the Small Qingdao Island make up of an astonishing coastal scene.
No.1 Bathing Beach - The bathing beach is lying along the Huiquan Bay, having a 580-meter-long and 40-meter-wide soft sand beach. With its clear water and mild slope, this No.1 Bathing Beach attracts lots of locals and travelers for having a good relaxation and view.
