Wuhua County Shaolin Martial Arts School was founded in 1992 in the county stadium, and then it moved to Dam County and changed its name to “Wuhua County Shaolin Arts and Martial Arts school” in the winter in 2000. It is a large-scale Arts and Martial Arts school authorized by Bureau of Education and the Sports Bureau, it opens elementary school and junior middle school, implements the full-time teaching and the enclosed management.
Equipment
The school is located in the dam in Shuizai town Wuhua County, the transportation is convenient. In 2006, the school invested more than 500 ten thousand Yuan based on the original foundation to add the teaching equipment and construct the campus, it presently supports pronunciation rooms, computer rooms, multimedia classrooms, physical laboratories, biochemistry laboratories, music and dance rooms, the library and the Ping-Pong field, the basketball court, the large-scale indoor training grounds and shadow arena and so on.
Students
The school has the security personnel to be on duty for 24 hours a day, the school doctor regularly to inspect the body for the students and the professional nursing personnel to wash clothes and take care of their daily life. The female students and students below 12 years old live with an aunt who takes care of them, male students above 12 years old live with the coaches; In order to guarantee the student to grow well with sufficient nutrition, specialized nutritionists at school allocate students’ food reasonably, breakfast primarily by wheaten food, cakes and pastries, egg class. Lunch and supper primarily by meat, domestic fowls, each meal together with three dishes and one soup; In order to enrich students’ extracurricular lives, arouse their interests for study, enhance their desire for knowledge, the school organizes the students regularly to the scenic sites and have other outside activities, also the school stipulated broadcasting significant television or movies for a whole evening per week.

In 2006, this school as representative of the county attended the Meizhou City Hakkas Folk Song Traveling Festival Performance and received the first award. In 2005 the school joined Macau “the Chinese globeflower” Cup Martial Arts Competition, attained four gold medals. In 2005 it attended the Hong Kong International Martial Arts Competition, acquired three gold medals, seven silver medals, a bronze medal and the first award for Group Chinese boxing competition, the second award for Group cudgel play. In 2004 it attended the Hong Kong International Martial Arts Competition and attained four gold medals, a bronze medal. In 2004 it participated in the Guangdong Province Martial Arts Competition, gained 12first-prize, 14 second-prize, and it was first-ranked as a group. In 2004, it participated in Beijing Martial Arts Observation and Emulate Congress, attained the first-prize for South fist and Piao Dao. In 2003, the school attended Martial Arts competition of Guangzhou Province, gained 2 first-prizes, 5 second-prize, 1 third-prize. In 1995 it joined “The National Martial Art Combining Various Techniques Challenge Match in Hainan Province”, gained the third-prize. In 1993 it attended the Meizhou City Martial Arts Competition, gained a gold medal, three silver medals, two bronze medals, and it was awarded as the second in Group total scores. Every year the school sends many students to vice squads in difference places such as Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Tibet.
