Introduction
Founded in August 1988, headquartered in Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, Industrial Bank is one of the first batches of joint-stock commercial banks approved by the State Council and the People's Bank of China.

Up to the end of June, 2006, the Bank's total assets achieved RMB 532.22 billion, shareholders' equity amounted to RMB 14.14 billion, and net profit posted RMB 1.746 billion. According to the “Top 100 Chinese Banks” released by the British Magazine, The Banker, in June 2006, the Bank ranked 1st among all the domestic commercial banks in terms of average return on capital and 10th in terms of tier 1 capital and total assets respectively. According to the “Top 1000 World Banks” released by The Banker in July in same year, the Bank ranked 297th in terms of tier 1 capital and ranked 164th in terms of total assets. It's was the first time for the Bank to be listed among top 200 world banks.
