In order to help the foreigners to evaluate their levels of Wushu, the Chinese Wushu Association has stipulated the Chinese Wushu Duan System for them. For those Wushu lovers, applying for duan will be challenge and useful. But how much do you know about the duan and the requirements for it?
Requirements for Applying for Duan
According to the stipulations of the Chinese Wushu Duan System, the overseas applicants shall meet the following requirements:
1. Those who apply for Duan should receive education on Wushu ethics, learn the basic content of wushu ethics and command Wushu protocol.

2. Those who observe Wushu virtues and have systematically practiced Wushu for at least three years, participate in the wushu Duan training and pass the examination can apply for 1st Duan – 3rd Daun.
3. The masters of one kind of bare-handed routine or teachers, coaches, and athletes with 1st Grade Warrior title who observe Wushu virtues, have been engaged in teaching Wushu overseas for at least 5 years, when they were in China they had acquired elementary professional title of Wushu in China and pass the examination can apply for 4th – 6th Duan.
4. The masters of one kind of bare-handed routine or teachers, coaches, and athletes with Warrior Hero title or famous retired athletes (champion of individual event at national wushu championships in China) who observe Wushu virtues, have been engaged in teaching Wushu overseas for at least 10 years, when they were in China they had acquired advanced professional title of Wushu in China, made certain achievements in theoretical research, made substantial contribution for wushu development and pass the examination can apply for 7th – 9th Duan.

3. Accommodation: Double room: US$ 50.00; single room US$ 70.00
4. Charges for conferment of ranking: Those who obtain the ranking after passing the examinations and appraisals shall be charged for the evaluation concerned (including evaluation, certificate, subsidiary certificate and badges).
