Program Strength: Since its establishment, chemical engineering discipline of ECUST has long been one of the leading disciplines in China. It is one of the earliest units offering the Master‘s and doctoral degree programs, and also the first one appointed to be post-doctorate station in the field of chemical engineering and technology in China. In 1988 it was approved as one of the first stale Key disciplines in China. In recognition of its achievement and reading position in chemical engineering, in 1997, ECUST was nominated by Stanford institute as the only chemical engineering institute for American companies to cooperate with. In 2000, chemical engineering of ECUST was approved by Shanghai municipal government as one of the top ten key disciplines in Shanghai.
