I. QUALIFICATIONS FOR ADMISSION
1. UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS: An applicant in good health and with an academic record equivalent to a Chinese high-school graduate will be accepted as an undergraduate student by the university. Specialties and length of schooling: MBBS (6 years in English; 5 years in Chinese); Preventive Medicine (5 years in Chinese), Stomatology (5 years in Chinese); Pharmacology (5 years in Chinese) and Nursing. (4 years in Chinese).
2. POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMS: A bachelor’s degree holder, a graduating student of any medical university in China having passed postgraduate enrollment examinations or a top student under the recommendation of Guangxi Medical University, in good health will be accepted as a postgraduate student by the university, following three year training program. Specialties: Human Anatomy, Histology and Embryology, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathologic Anatomy, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Parasitology, Pathologic Physiology, Study of Labor Hygiene and Occupational Diseases, Epidemiology, Nutriology, Study of Angiocardiopathy, Study of Digestive Diseases, Study of Blood, Study of Respiratory Diseases, Endocrinopathy, Study of Urinary Diseases, Study of Infectious Diseases, General Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Tumor Surgery, Urinary Surgery, Orthopedics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Neurology, Otolaryngology, Anesthesiology, Medical Photography, Oncology. Courses are taught in Chinese.
3. TRAINING PROGRAMS: An applicant with background of medical undergraduate education and above will be accepted as a general scholar. Training time is decided by both the scholar and the university. Courses are taught in Chinese.
4. Doctoral Programs: A master degree holder having passed enrollment examinations given by the university will accepted a doctoral student, following three years training program. Specialty: Pediatrics, Pharmacology, Oncology, Human Anatomy & Histo-Embryology, Otolaryngology, Pathology & Pathophysiology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Epidemiology & Medical Statistics. Courses are taught in Chinese.
5. CHINESE LANGUAGE PROGRAM: The applicant who enrolls on undergraduate program taught in Chinese and has not yet pass the HSK (the Chinese Language Proficiency Test) has to learn Chinese for a year. Other foreigners are also welcomed to learn Chinese in the university.
II. ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS
1.Fill in Application Form for International Student to Study in Guangxi Medical University.
2.Provide personal passport (photocopy), 2 one-inch-half-length, bareheaded, full-faced photos.
3. Provide Personal Health Certificate (photocopy).
4. Provide highest diploma obtained and transcripts (photocopy). Diplomas and transcripts should be indicated in Chinese or English. Those filled out in other languages must be attached with translation of Chinese or English.
5. Provide HSK (the Chinese Language Proficiency Test) Certificate of Elementary Level C (Level 3). If an applicant has not passed HSK Level C, he/she can study Chinese at the Chinese Language Training Center in our university for a year. After passing HSK Level C Test, he/she can turn to professional study.
6. A student who has studied in China and wants to transfer to another university must provide his/her transcripts and the comments of the original university.
7. The deadline for enrollment of applicants of Master Degree is before the end of May every year.
8. The deadline for enrollment of applicants of Bachelor Degree is before September 15 every year.
9. The deadline for enrollment of applicants of Chinese language is before September 30, every year.
10. Application fee is RMB 400 Yuan. Application formalities will not be dealt with if an applicant does not pay application fee. The application fee is not given back if the applicant does not come to study in the university.
11. The materials mentioned above may be sent to the university at any time every year. An applicant of short-term training courses may also send his/her application and materials at any time.

III. DIPLOMA AND DEGREE CERTIFICATE
A student who studies for diploma and degree certificate and whose behavior is in conformity with the rules of the university will receive diploma and degree certificate after completing the courses and passing the examinations.
IV. EXPENSES (RMB)
1. Application fee: RMB 400 Yuan.
2. Tuition fee for an undergraduate in English: RMB 30000 Yuan / a year.
3. Tuition fee for an undergraduate in Chinese: RMB 23000 Yuan/ a year.
4. Tuition fee for a postgraduate and a general scholar: RMB 30000 Yuan/ a year.
5. Tuition fee for a doctoral student: RMB 40000 Yuan/ a year.
6. Tuition fee for a Chinese Language learner: RMB 12500Yuan / a year.
7. Tuition fee for short-term courses: RMB 4000Yuan / a month; RMB 10000 Yuan/ 3 months.
8. Overall Insurance for medical care, accidental injury or disease: RMB 600 Yuan/ a year (Compulsory)

① Single Room: RMB 6150 Yuan / a year, (with kitchen, bathroom, water heater, electric fan, IC phone etc.)
② Single Room: RMB8200 Yuan / a year, (with kitchen, bathroom, water heater, air-conditioner, color TV, refrigerator, washing machine, IC phone etc.)
Building Two
① Single Room: RMB 5740 Yuan / a year, (with bathroom, water heater, electric fan, IC phone etc. without kitchen).
② Small single Room: RMB4100 Yuan / a year (with bathroom, water heater, electric fan, IC phone etc. without kitchen).
Building Three
① Double Room: RMB 9840 Yuan /a year, (with kitchen, bathroom, water heater, IC phone etc.)
② Double Room: RMB12300 Yuan / a year, (with kitchen, bathroom, water heater, air-conditioner, color TV, refrigerator, washing machine, IC phone etc.)
③ Single Room: RMB 5740 Yuan / a year, (with bathroom, water heater, electric fan, IC phone etc. without kitchen).
Building Four
① Single Room: RMB 8200 Yuan / a year, (with kitchen, bathroom, air-conditioner, water heater, IC phone etc.)
② Double Room: RMB 9840 Yuan / a year (with kitchen, bathroom, water heater, air-conditioner, IC phone etc.)
10. Food: RMB 5000 Yuan / a year (RMB 400 Yuan/ a month).
11. Chinese Textbooks and lecture notes: RMB 700 Yuan/ a year.
12. HSK Test (the Chinese Language Proficiency Test) fee: RMB 250 once.
13. Physical examination fee RMB 280 Yuan once.
14. Fee for Resident Permit:
RMB 400 Yuan for less than 1 year (excluding 1 year).
RMB 800 Yuan for 1 year to less than 3 years (excluding 3 years)
RMB 1000 Yuan for 3 years (including 3 years)
14. Administration Fee: RMB 10000 Yuan （paid by those who go back to their own country for internship）.
15. Subjects, experiments and practice other than the program are required at the student’s own expenses.
16. Each room is allowed to use 150 kwh of electricity a month. If one uses electricity more than fixed amount, the part of the overused is to be paid.
17. The students who stay in the hostel in the university enjoy RMB 360 Yuan / a year for medical care.
18. The fees are paid in September every year.
