Education Objective
     
To train senior specialized personnel fully developed morally, intellectually and physically, mastering fundamental theories, knowledge and skills of law systematically and having good jurisprudential concept and solid foundation on the methodology of law, who are qualified for the professional work of legislation, administration, adjudication and prosecution, work of a lawyer and other social legal service work.

The students of the major are to learn the fundamental theories, knowledge of Human Sciences and Natural Sciences; master the basic knowledge, theories and skills of the Law-major; have the basic ability to acquire knowledge, find, analyze and solve problems independently with the spirit of pioneering and creating; be qualified to be engaged in the work of legal profession and other relevant professions; meet the basic requirements of the College English Curriculum for Trial Implementation and pass Band One Computer Test for College Students of Non-computer Majors in Jiangsu Province.
Physical Requirements

The students must have he basic knowledge of physical training and military affairs; cultivate healthy habits of physical exercising and personal hygiene; receive necessary military training and measure up to the Standard of Physical and Military Training for College Students set by the government; keep fit both mentally and physically to perform well the sacred obligation to work for and protect the motherland.

Eligibility and File Requirements

Academic Degree Offered: LL.B (Bachelor of Law)

The minimum credits students should complete for their graduation are 166 credits.

Application procedure

1.Applicants lodge their applications including 250YuanRMB application fee with School for Overseas Students, Soochow University.

2.Soochow University makes the assessment of the applications and sends the qualified applicants the " JW202 Form","Admission Notice" and the "Physical Examination Record of Foreigners".

3.Applicants go to Chinese embassy or consulate in their home country to obtain visa and make travel arrangements.

4.Applicants arrive and register as required in the "Admission Notice".
