Lady Street (Nu ren jie) is located not far from the Lufthansa Centre. Aimed at women, there are hundreds of stalls selling all fashions of women's clothes, shoes and jewelery. As always in China, compare prices and bargain! You can get manicures and pedicures as well as massage and other beauty treatments. There are plenty of cafe's on the street to enjoy a Chinese style lunch or have a cold drink.

DVD shops are found throughout Beijing, just keep your eyes open. They generally cost about RMB10 but can be found for as little as RMB6 with a bit of bargaining. Best not to buy them on the street as they often sell inferior quality pirated DVD's. Stick to the shops for the best ones, which sometimes don't work anyway.

New power supplies for old laptops, batteries, memory cards for cameras, flatscreens, CDMA modems, desktops and laptops.
