The College of Civil Engineering was founded in 1952 by combining the former College of Architectural Engineering of CQ University of Architecture, and the former College of Architectural Engineering of CQU and Teaching Office of Applied Science and Technical Measurement. It currently has two majors---Civil Engineering and Surveying Engineering. And the Course of Civil Engineering includes 4 specific areas like Architectural Engineering, Foundation Engineering and Underground Structure, Urban Road & Bridge Engineering and Field Engineering.
The college currently has been authorized to offer Doctor's degree of one first-level discipline of Civil Engineering, and 6 second-level disciplines. The College owns 12 supervisors for doctors, and has established a postdoctoral station of Civil Engineering which has recruited 7 postdoctoral researchers. At present, the College is also authorized to offer Master's degree of 7 majors which are as follows: Structural Engineering, Rock Engineering, Disasterproof Engineering, Bridge & Tunnel Construction, Engineering Mechanics, Solid Mechanics and Geological Engineering. Especially, Structural Engineering and Rock Engineering are two major disciplines of Ministry of Construction and CQ municipality, while Engineering Mechanics is a major discipline of MOC, and Disasterproof Engineering is a major discipline of CQ.
In the college, it owns a number of 160 teachers among whom there are 19 professors, 51 associate professors and 91 other members like instructors. There are 84 teachers got the degree of Master or Doctor. There are other 62 faculties among whom 36 people work in the laboratories. There are 2427 students studying in the college with 44 doctors, 98 postgraduates and 2285 undergraduates. Since the establishment of the College, it has provided nearly 10 thousand students for the country.

Application time
The application for bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, doctoral degree: the deadline for application is October 15 for spring semester, June 30 for autumn semester.
Entry requirements
For Bachelor’s degree: the applicants should have senior high school diploma or equivalent, HSK 3 certificate and application form.
For master’s degree: the applicants should have bachelor’s degree or above, 2 recommendation letters written by 2 associate professors or above, HSK 3 certificate and application form.
For doctoral degree:the applicants should have master’s degree or equivalent, 2 recommendation letters written by 2 associate professors or above, HSK3 certificate and application form.
