The School of Science was founded in July, 2002 which plays an important role in the construction and development of Zhejiang University of Technology. It covers Department of Mathematics Science, Department of Physics, Department of Chemistry, and Department of Psychology. Currently, it is home to 5 bachelor programs and 5 second-level master programs in the disciplines of Mathematics, Chemistry and Psychology. The School has an enrollment of over 1000 undergraduates and 100 postgraduates. Moreover, it is able to cultivate doctoral students with other famous universities and institutes.
The School has a group of high-qualified faculty with 129 members. Among them, there are 104 full-time teachers including 24 full professors and 34 associate professors, 6 doctoral supervisors and 44 master supervisors. The teachers who have Doctoral degree or Master’s degree have a percentage of 96.6. Besides, about 16 famous scholars from home and abroad work as part-time professors in the school. The School still endeavors to improve the faculty’s age and knowledge structure.
The School puts great emphasize on training the students’ practical and innovative abilities, aiming at cultivating students featured of “practical, credit, grateful, and harmonious”. The students have won a considerable number of awards on different levels which has been rewarded by some related departments. The students have a variety of fields to get employment and they are popular with the various employers.
Since its establishment for 5 years, the School has undertaken totally 73 portrait projects, covering one “973” project, 14 projects of National Natural Fund, 2 key projects, etc, and 57 crosswise projects. The School actively participates in scientific research. It has published 298 papers with 210 of them in the first-level periodicals and 134 embodied by SCI, EI, and SSCI. The School attaches great importance to the local economic construction depending upon the advantages of disciplines which in turn bring a high reputation for the School.

Application time
The time for application is September to January for spring term, March to August for autumn term.
The time for enrollment is End of January or February for spring term, September for fall term.

For Bachelor’s degree:
Be above 18 years old, senior high school graduate, HSK3 certificate or above, in good physical condition.
For Master’s degree:
Have Bachelor’s degree or above, HSK3 certificate or above, academic score list, 2 recommended letters from two associate professors or above, in good physical condition.
For Doctoral degree:
Have Master’s degree or above, HSK3 certificate or above, academic score list, 2 recommended letters from two associate professors or above, in good physical condition.
