Schools and Departments Introduction
The school consists of 11 colleges, namely College of Electromechanical Engineering, College of Instrument Science and Photoelectric Engineering, College of Information and Communication Engineering, College of Automation, College of Computer Science, College of Economics and Management, College of Information Management, College of Political Theory Education, College of Humanities and Social Sciences, College of Foreign Studies, College of Applied Sciences, as well as Department of Physical Education, Department of Postgraduate,and School of Continuing Education. The postgraduate education got started in 1981, and it was authorized to confer Master's Degree in 1993. There are 12 primary disciplines and 42 secondary disciplines of graduate programs, covering five categories of disciplines, namely Engineering, Management, Science, Economics and Law. The school is authorized to confer two professional Master's Degrees, namely, Master of Engineering and MBA, covering 8 discipline fields of professional degrees. The university welcomes students from all over the state, and enrolls at present 11,574 full-time students, including 919 graduates, 10,655 undergraduates and 3,351 students of Continuing Education.
