Chinese Government Scholarship

In line with latest notice by the Ministry of Education of China, they will continue to set up the Chinese Government Scholarship for the distinguished self-funded international degree students during the 2014/2015 academic year

Amount
There will be 5 months’ treatment for the scholarship during an academic year.Candidate for BA/BS:  RMB1, 400/person/month;Candidate for MA/MS : RMB1, 700/person/month,Candidate for PhD: RMB2,000/person/month ;
Availability
There will be 11 quotas for the academic year 2014-2015, which can be divided into 22 candidates.
Eligible Candidates
In principle, applicants should be degree students (both undergraduates and postgraduates at the study programs) during the second year, who entered the school in the fall semester (September’s intake), 2013 and will be studying in September 2014 or above. Applicants should behave well, process competitive academic records and meet with the family financial difficulties. At the same time, applicants should not have any other type of scholarship.

Application Procedures
Personal application → School recommendations → Name lists Publication on campus → China Scholarship Council (CSC) ApprovalV.  Application Procedure:Log on websitelaihua.csc.edu.cn  (Register on the CSC website -- Login -- Fill in the Application Form -- Select the Application Form for the “Chinese Government Scholarship” -- Put in the Personal Data (the first item of “Agency No. ” for Sun Yat-sen University is “10558” ) -- Complete the other Data -- Submit the Application Form -- Print out the completed form for two copies)-- Sign the Application Form -- Send the printed Application Form to International Students’ Office together with Official Transcripts before the deadline.

Where to Submit Application DocumentsApplicants from Guangzhou South Campus, Guangzhou East Campus, Zhuhai Campus should send the application documents to the Office for International Students’ Affairs on the Guangzhou South Campus (Room 101, the office building for the School of Chinese as a Second Language).Medical students should send the application documents to the Office for International Students’ Affairs  on  the Guangzhou North Campus.
