Day 1 Beijing (L)
In the morning, your local guide will meet you and take you to the Beijing City Planning Hall With the vivid high-tech demonstration model, you are able to see the development of Beijing and how it will be in the near future.
Then your guide will show you around Da Zha Lan Old Street which has 580 years’ history. This old street was the busiest market in the past. Even now, the well-known old brands with hundred year’s history are still open, who used to serve the imperial family exclusively. Besides, countless small souvenir stores are filled with various gifts.
You will have Chinese dumpling lunch with other local dishes cooked by the housewife at a quadrangle.
Following will be a Hutong tour. You will sit on tricycle to explore the traditional living style of Beijing local people. The tour includes the visit of a local family, playing with the children in a kindergarten, climbing on the Bell Tower, which was the only time counter 500 years ago and rang only at morning. Near the lake, local people do sports exercises and you are welcomed to join them. This tour will give you a deep impression of the local people’s daily life.
At night, if you like, you can enjoy the exciting Acrobatic Show in the most popular theater in Beijing (optional).
