Day by day itinerary
Day 1 Beijing  
After arrival in Beijing, local guide will suggest a restaurant option and shopping destination for the rest of the day.
 
Day 2
After breakfast, visit the Mutianyu Great Wall, the main section of the Great Wall that was reconstructed during the Ming Dynasty. In ancient times, it was used as a strategic point of defense. Cable car fee is not included. Afterwards, proceed to the Ming Tombs, the mausoleums of 13 emperors of the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644). Enjoy a Beijing Roast Duck Dinner, which is considered to be one of the most delicious dishes in the world.
 
Day 3
After breakfast, visit the Forbidden City, the architectural wonder and world-famous attraction that lies in the center of Beijing. It was home to 24 emperors in the Ming and Qing Dynasties during its five centuries of use. Next proceed to Tian'anmen Square, which is the heart of modern China, the symbol of the People's Republic and the center of Beijing's landmarks. Then visit Temple of Heaven. The temple was built between 1409 and 1420, and is one of Beijing's most impressive parks in terms of architecture and significance.
 
Day 4
After breakfast, visit the Beijing Hutong, a "must-see" attraction if you want to really get a feel for the rich history and culture of the city. Visit the famous shopping area, Wangfujing Street. Then leave Beijing for Xi'an.
 
Day 5
After breakfast, visit the Terracotta Warriors & Horses, located in Jiangzhai Xichang Village, around one mile from Emperor Qin Shi Huang's Mausoleum. Proceed to the Huaqing Hot Spring, situated 30 kilometers east of Xi'an at the foot of the Lishan Hills. The springs were a popular retreat with Emperors more than 2,500 years ago, many of whom enjoyed bathing in the crystal clear mineral water. Next visit the Banpo Museum, located on the north side of Banpo Village on a site that dates to the Neolithic period, over 6,000 years ago. This site was just recently discovered. 
 
Day 6
After breakfast, visit the Forest of Steles, which is a professional art museum that collects, studies, and displays various steles and stone sculptures.
Next proceed to Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a famous Buddhist pagoda situated inside Da Ci'en Temple, four kilometers south of Xi'an.
Proceed to the Medieval City Wall, which is the most complete ancient city wall in China. It was built in the Ming dynasty over 700 years ago.Then fly to Chongqing.
 
Day 7
Venture ashore for an excursion to Fengdu Ghost City, located on the north bank of the Yangtze River. Fengdu is an ancient city with a long history, and got its reputation as the Ghost City in the Eastern Han Dynasty (25 A.D.- 220 A.D.). 
 
Day 8
Venture ashore for an excursion to Shennong Stream, one of the most important ports of call for Yangtze Three Gorges tour. It is a 60-kilometer tributary of the Yangtze River, originating in the southern part of Shennongjia Natural Reserve and joining the Yangtze at Xirangkou in Hubei's Badong County.
 
Day 9
Venture ashore for an excursion to the Three Gorges Dam Site. The Three Gorges Dam on the Yangtze River has been a dream for generations of Chinese and will be one of the largest construction projects ever undertaken by mankind. After your arrival in Yichang, go to Wuhan airport and fly to Guilin.
 
Day 10
After breakfast, appreciate the beautiful scenery of Lijiang River, where you will take a cruise along the stretch of the river that runs between Guilin and Yangshuo. The Lijiang River landscape has been compared to the hair of a beautiful woman and was described by the famous Chinese poet Hanyu as "a blue silk ribbon; the mountains resemble emerald hairpins". After returning to shore, travelers can take a stroll on the famous Yangshuo West Street. 
 
Day 11
After breakfast, visit the Reed Flute Cave, located in a hidden spot on Guangmin Hill about 3.2 miles northwest of Guilin. It is Guilin's largest and most impressive cave. Proceed to Elephant Trunk Hill, which is situated on the western bank of the Lijiang River in south Guilin. Next, proceed to Bravo Hill. Then fly to Shanghai.
 
Day 12
Visit Yuyuan Garden in the morning, which is a famous classical garden located in Shanghai's colorful and bustling Old Town. Then visit The Bund, also called Zhongshan East Road, which is Shanghai's famous waterfront. Walking along the Bund, you can see the Oriental Pearl TV Tower and the Jin Mao Tower across the river in Pudong. Then proceed to China's first and foremost shopping street, Nanjing Road.
 
Day 13
The local guide will take travelers to Shanghai airport for departure flight.
