Detailed itinerary
Day 1 Shanghai-Guiyang-Kaili
Activities: Arrive in Guiyang. Hotel check-in
Meals: N/A
Transportation: Bus, Air (Flight details: TBA)
Make your way to Shanghai airport and fly to Guiyang.
You’ll be met on arrival at Guiyang airport by your CST local guide, who will transfer you to a hotel in Kaili. Free time rest of the day exploring the nearby streets or resting. Our guide will recommend you restaurants and shopping areas.
Day 2 Kaili-Xijiang–Kaili
Activities: Kaili Museum, Xijiang “Miao” Minority Village
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch
Transportation: Bus
After breakfast your CST local guide will pick you up at the hotel and take you to the Kaili museum, where you will learn about Miao and Dong people’s history, daily life traditional textile manufacture methods.
Next proceed to Xijiang Miao Minority Village, which is the biggest Miao village in the world.
Return to Kaili. Your CST local guide will recommend a few restaurants and shopping areas.
Day 3 Kaili–Rongjiang
Activities: Langde Shang Miao Village, Datang Mini Skirt Miao Village, Chejiang Qianhu Dong Village, Big Banyan Tree, Drum Tower
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch
Transportation: Bus
After a short drive along the Bala River, you will arrive at the Langde village - a real gem with traditional wooden houses and waterwheels. You also will have a unique opportunity to attend a welcome party hosted by local Miao People.
After a Chinese lunch, continue your excursion to Datang - a Miao village. There you will attend an aquatic granary and see a Mini skirt show, performed by local woman. Head on to the Chejiang Qianhu Dong Village known as the "Thousand-House Village.” This is the worlds largest Dong village.
Next proceed to the largest and oldest Drum Tower in Guizhou. First built in 1672 during the Qing Dynasty, the 13-storey structure is 25m high and shaped like a pagoda with a twin gourd-shaped top and a ceramic crown. En route to the Drum you will also have a chance to enjoy the wonderful Big Banyan Tree.
Check in to Rongjiang’s hotel. Your CST local guide will recommend a few restaurants and shopping areas.
Day 4 Rongjiang-Conjiang–Zhaoxing
Activities: Basha Village, Zhaoxin Village, Dong Minority Singing Show
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch
Transportation: Bus
After breakfast your CST local guide will pick you up at the hotel and take you to Basha - a small Miao village untouched by modern influence.
After a Chinese lunch, your CST local guide will accompany you to Zhaoxing - one of the largest Dong villages. We will see the drum tower in Gaozeng and visit the roofed bridge in Longtu. In the evening, you will see a Dong Minority Singing Show.
Check in Zhaoxing hotel. Your CST local guide will recommend you a few restaurants and shopping areas.
Day 5 Zhaoxing-Longli-Liping-Guiyang
Activities: Longli Ancient City. Fly to Guiyang. Qingyan Ancient City.

After breakfast your CST local guide will pick you up at the hotel and take you to visit the Longli Ancient City. Located on the eastern edge of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, the ancient town of Longli is a well-preserved Ming dynasty fortress which once housed a thousand soldiers. Today, 21 kilometers from the Liping Airport, Longli is an important passage linking Jinping to the Liping Dong Villages Scenic Area.
Then transfer to Liping and fly to Guiyang to visit the Qingyan ancient City. The town retains a lot of its original historic layout and ancient buildings, from the Qing Dynasty or even Ming Dynasty. In the town, visitors have the chance to see well-preserved stone-slab lanes, archways, watchtowers and battlements.

Day 6 Guiyang-Shanghai
Activities: Fly to Shanghai. The tour ends.

After breakfast your CST local guide will pick you up at the hotel and take you to the Guiyang airport for your departure flight to Shanghai.
