School of International Relations and Diplomacy 国际关系学院
The School of International Relations (SIR) was founded in September, 2006. It is a newly established school full of vitality and potentials. The SIR has established the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Institute of International Studies. Especially, it has been working on improving the teaching process with its own characteristics and fully exerting its teaching advantages. The traditional teaching model with mono-subject has been abolished and the SIR has adopted a new guideline that attaches equal importance to certain research fields and foreign languages. Now there are over 200 full-time graduate and undergraduate students studying at the SIR, aside from 100 students pursuing a dual bachelor’s degree. The number of full-time instructors and researchers is now 20. They are three professors (researchers), nine associate professors (associate researchers) and eight faculty members with an intermediate professional title. The teacher-student ratio is approximately 1:12.
