School of Automation Science & Electrical Engineering of Beihang University is the former Department of Aircraft Equipment which was founded in 1954.
It consists of 8 sections: Department of Intelligent System & Control Engineering, Department of Test & Automation Engineering, Department of Mechanical-Electronic Engineering, Department of Electrical Engineering, Department of Automatic Control, Automatic Control Teaching & Learning Center, Electrotechnics & Electricity Teaching & Learning Center and Sophisticated Emulation Technology Center.
School of Automation Science & Electrical Engineering has a complete system of talent breeding with 2 undergraduate majors, 8 postgraduate majors and 7 doctorial majors. Its teaching staff comprises 154 teachers, among them there are 32 doctor advisors, 36 professors, 70 associate professors, 81 teachers with doctor degrees and 2 distinguished professors.
The department now has 1066 undergraduates and 944 postgraduates. Its well-designed courses include Theory of Automatic Control, Digital Electrical Technology, Circuit, Linear System Theory, Computer Control System. The first one is a national essential course.
