Itinerary
Day 1 Beijing
Arrive at Beijing International Airport. Meet your guide and driver and check in your hotel. The rest of today is free for you.

Day 2 Beijing
Morning visit Tian’anmen Square, which is the capital city centre. Many key events affecting the whole country even the world happened here. Then you will make your way to Forbidden City, where the Emperors used to live and use your imagination when considering the life of one man and his many wives enclosed in the largest quadrangle in the world! Then, we offer you with the Tricycle Hutong tour to experience the daily life of Beijing residents, seeing the children in a kindergarten and climbing on the Bell Tower.
You will have Chinese dumpling lunch with other local dishes cooked by the housewife at a quadrangle. As for dinner, you will have a welcome dinner, the most famous meal in Beijing—Beijing Duck Dinner. At night, you will enjoy the exciting Chinese Acrobatic Show.

Day 3 Beijing
In the morning, your local guide and private driver will meet you in the hotel lobby, and take you to the Great Wall at Mutianyu. 2 hours’ driving will take you to this comparatively quiet section.
At this location the Great Wall was built on steep mountains, yet don’t worry, there is a cable car running up the wall directly. If you walk more than half hour on the Wall, you will arrive at the part named “Wild Wall” that haven’t been restored for more than 500 years.
On the way back to the city, you will have a chance to take a short visit of the Olympic Stadium, nicknamed “Bird’s Nest” and the National Aquatic Centre, also known as the "Water Cube".

Day 4 Beijing/Xi’an
Fly to Xi’an. When you arrive at Xi’an Airport, your local guide and driver will meet you there and take you to downtown City. It is claimed to be “Museum City”. You will be able to visit the Shannxi Historic Museum, one of the best museums in China, with collections from 1.7 million years ago. Your next stop will be at the symbol of Xi’an, Big Wild Goose Pagoda. It is a well-preserved ancient building and a holy place for Buddhists. As for the dinner, you will be able to enjoy the Special dumplings dinner --to taste more than10 types of different dumplings. After the dinner, you can enjoy a Tang Dynasty Performance, a veritable Tang dynasty show, reminding you the most prosperous empire 1400 year ago.

Day 5 Xi’an
In the morning you will visit a prehistoric settlement at Banpo, to see the early settlements’ life. Then you will visit the highlight of Xi’an trip-- the Terracotta Warriors and Horses, the most significant archeological excavations of the 20th century. It was listed by UNESCO in 1987 as one of the world cultural heritages.
In the afternoon you will be driven to the Great Mosque, established in AD742 for Muslim traders from Central Asia who settled in Xi’an, which is still an active place of worship in the present.
Tonight, if you like, you will enjoy a special treatment—Chinese herbs feet massage(optional, RMB150/p/60min), to relax your sore feet from a whole day walk, and give you a good sleep. Try it! You will be indulged in it!

Day 6 Xi’an/Three Gorges
Today the tour guide will take you to Xi’an City Wall, the best preserved city wall in China. You can take a bird-eye-view of this ancient but still vivid city and touch the old bricks in person. Then fly to Chongqing. You will meet your local guide in the airport and be transferred to Chongqing city. Time permit, you can visit the lovely pandas in the zoo, you will enjoy one of the most famous cuisine in China—Chongqing Hot Pot. You will be transferred to the dock and start your deluxe Yangtze River Cruise.

Day 7 Three Gorges
First stop is the town of Fengdu. For this shore excursion, you’ll climb the many stairs to the Temple of the Emperor of Hell. This area is filled with temples and garish statues of demons and devils. An interesting part of this shore excursion is comparing the partly-submerged rubble of the old town of Fengdu with the shiny new housing across the water, where the Fengdu inhabitants were re-housed. Join the captain in the evening for welcome drinks and dinner.

Day 8 Three Gorges
Rise early this morning and be on deck as you sail through the towering cliffs and mountains of the gorges Qutang and Wu Gorge. In the afternoon, you will take smaller boats for a trip up a tributary of the river.
An interesting 3 hour shore excursion, Shennong Stream is an area of the Yangtze that has changed considerably since the water level has risen. Where the gorge widens slightly, you transfer into smaller boats pulled by teams of "trackers" who wade thigh-deep through the water. Trackers were once the main method of pulling boats along parts of the Yangtze River. Later, enter Xiling Gorge

Day 9 Three Gorges/Shanghai
Visit the site of the enormous Three Gorges Dam Project. At any given time, up to 30,000 laborers and the relocation of 1.3 million people are involved in the dam’s construction. Return to the boat after the excursion and journey one and a half hours to Yichang. Disembark here and transfer to Yichang airport for Shanghai. Check in your hotel.

Day 10 Shanghai
In the morning, you will go to the Yu Garden. Outside of the Yu Garden is the Old Town which displays the vibrancy of traditional Shanghai street life.
You will have a walking tour to the small alleys to spot refurbished tenement homes with doors framed with large stone (Shi ku men). With this walk, you are able to see 1st National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party, French Park as well as the St. Nicholas Church. The Old Residence of Zhou Enlai and the home of Sun Yat-sen are good examples of residential buildings of the period-short and squat Shikumens hidden in twisty alleyways.
After lunch you will be driven to Shanghai Museum. Telling you the history how this metropolis developed from a pimping village in the last century. Tonight, you will have a cruise tour and enjoy the night view along the Bund, evocative of the splendor and decadence of old Shanghai.
