The Law School is the major college of China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL). Under the leadership of successive deans of the Law School, it has been adhering to principles of “research as the Law School’s basis, talents to strengthen the Law School, features to make the Law School flourish, Rule of Law for the Law School”. Through the unremitting efforts of professors and students, the Law School has in its long education practice formed a school spirit to “embrace rule of law and pursue perfection” as well as its unique features regarding guiding principles of education, education of students, development of faculty and the disciplines, academic research, management and service.
At present, the Law School has 2,266 full-time students on campus, including 1456 undergraduate students, 131 students working towards second bachelor degrees, 517 graduate students, 148 Ph. D. candidates and 14 Post doctors. Adhering to legal education orientated towards the students, the society and the world, the Law School has educated and provided over 10,000 highly-qualified graduates to different professions, most of whom have become the leading forces in public security organs, courts, judicial administrative and governmental organs, economic entities as well as institutes of higher education engaged with legal teaching and research.
The Law School undertakes several research projects on the national level as well as the ministerial and provincial level. She accomplishes rich research achievements. On over 100 occasions professors of Law School have participated in drafting, discussing and reviewing laws. Several professors have been invited to discussions about key legal problems organized by ministries of central government and judicial administrative institutions. The Law School maintains extensive exchanges and has established stable academic cooperative relationships with many well known universities home and abroad. Exchanges of scholars and students take place very frequently.

Undergraduate students: 4 years
Master’s students: 3 years
Doctoral students: 3 years
Application time
For bachelor’s degree, the duration of application is from March to July every year.
For master’s degree, doctoral degree: the duration for application is from January 1 to January 31 every year.
Entry requirements
For Bachelor’s degree: the applicants should have senior high school certificate or equivalent, HSK5 certificate or attending the entrance HSK examinations of the CUPL, above 18 years old and application form.
For master’s degree: the applicants should have bachelor’s degree or equivalent, HSK5 certificate, qualified-examinations of CUPL, under 40years old and application form.
For doctoral degree:the applicants should have master’s degree or equivalent for 6 or more years, HSK 5 certificate, qualified-examinations of CUPL, under 45 years old and application form.
