Pingyao-Qiao’s Grand Courtyard-Wutai Mountain-Xuankong Temple-Yungang Grottoes (5 days)

Day 1 Beijing/Taiyuan
At 19:03 in the evening, Take the train No 1163(semi-cushioned berths) to Taiyuan, the capital of Shanxi Province
Day2 Pingyao City/Qiao’s Grand Courtyard
Visit the Pingyao City-----one of the most famous four old cities in China, there you will visit the money exchange shop of Jin Province (the earliest bank), the Ming and Qing old street (the Wall Street of ancient China). Afternoon explore the famous Qiao’s Grand Courtyard, which is considered as a model of Chinese ancient dwelling. On the way back to the hotel, you can take a walk at the local specialty supermarket. Day3 Wutai Mountain
Transfer to Wutai Mountain in the morning. On the way, visit the Eastlake Vinegar Cultural Garden of Shanxi Province and taste healthy old vinegar. Afternoon visit the Shifang church and the Guanghua Temple. Then make a pilgrimage to the Tayuan Temple, where the symbol of Wutai Mountain -------Big White Pagoda is located. Visit the biggest statue of Bodhisattva in Shuxiang Temple. Before getting back to your hotel, enjoy a sumptuous vegetarian banquet. (B/ L /D)
Day4 Xuankong Temple/Yungang Grottoes
After breakfast, listen to the temple bell and make a wish. Take a visit to the most flourishing temple----- Wuye Temple. Then visit the Xuankong Temple (the No.1 scenery of the Hengshan Moutain). Afternoon take a bus to Datong, then visit the Yungang Grottoes (the oldest one of the three major cave clusters in China). Transfer to the railway station for your journey back to Beijing. (B)
Day 5 Beijing
Arrive at Beijing at 5:10 in the morning.
