On the morning of 25th October,20 people from British Mechanical Engineers Society Hong Kong Branch and Hong Kong Mechanical Engineers Society visited Dalian Maritime University, vice president Pan Xinxiang interviewed the guests in No. 922 conference room in comprehensive building. Engineering president Zhang Huichen, School of Navigation vice president Chen Fuhan accompanied to attend the interview Pan Xinxiang warmly welcomed the guests. He made a brief introduction to the guests about Dalian Maritime University’s general information, and carefully introduced about education situation of students majored in Navigation profession. He indicated that the university is always looking forward to establishing relation with worldwide maritime, shipping and harbor departments and seeking cooperation, hoped that this visit could let the guests know the university better and lay a solid foundation for future cooperation.
Si Tu Jia Chen, chairman of British Mechanical Engineers Society, Hong Kong Bran, Technical and Engineering manager of Shell Hong Kong Ltd, thanked for DMU’s warm reception on behalf of the guests. He briefly introduced about general information of each corporation and its main business. He pointed out that Hong Kong is always keeping eyes on development and progress of maritime industry, while in Hong Kong,there was no captain or chief marine engine engineering, he hoped that they could have exchange with Dalian Maritime University in marine engine, mechanical, shipbuilding and environment these aspects, and could develop cooperation in the relevant fileds
At the end of the interview, the guest looked around marine simulator, turbine power laboratory and the engine room laboratory, and spoke highly of Dalian Maritime University’s teaching research facilities.
