Position Name:instructors to teach introductory classes

Contract Period: for one semester or one academic year, renewable depending on performance

Salary: $2000.00-$2900.00 per month (16-20 hours/week) depending on experience.

Teaching Period:
Classes begin mid-September 2008 and run to mid-January 2009. Spring classes begin end of February 2009 and run to July 15, 2009. The Music Appreciation Course and the Intro to Arts course will be offered in an inter-term format of 3-4 weeks in January and June.Each instructor teaches up to four course sections (syllabi provided). Anthropology (Culture and Human Experiences)
Biology (Ecology and the Diversity of Life)
Communication (Fundamentals of Communication and Presentational Speaking)
Environmental Science (Environment and Society)
Math (Algebra, Calculus)
Physics (Intro to Physics)
Music Appreciation
Intro to Arts

Minimum Qualifications:

 BA/BS in teaching discipline

 Demonstrable record of excellence in teaching

 Excellent oral and written communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications:

 MA or Ph.D. in teaching discipline

 International teaching experience

 Intercultural communication experience
