The Faculty of Mechanical & Electrical Engineering is regarded as one of the backbone faculties with the longest history in Guilin University of Electronic Technology. After 40 years’ development, the Faculty has established its own features with combining Mechanical with Electrical, Computer Science with professional technology, high with low qualities. It has formed a large scale since its establishment.
Currently, the Faculty has an enrollment of 1880 undergraduates and more than 100 postgraduates. The Faculty owns a well-structured and academically sound staff team that conducts both teaching and scientific research. Among the teaching staff, there are 20 professors with 50% having Master’s degree or above. The Faculty is involved in 4 discipline fields, including Mechanical Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Architectural Science. It boasts 4 master programs, namely Manufacturing and Automation, Mechatronics Engineering, Machinery Theory and Design, Vehicle Engineering, 6 bachelor programs, including Machinery Design and Manufacturing & Automation, Electronic Engineering and Automation, Transportation Engineering, Architectural Environment and Equipment Engineering, Micro-electronic Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering.
The Faculty always adheres to practical teaching, aiming at training the students’ manipulative and innovative ability. The well-trained students have a good knowledge of their majors, high comprehensive qualities, and strong applied ability of engineering which make them popular with the employers in various occupations and enterprises.
The Faculty attaches great importance to teaching and scientific research and has made great achievements in research. The employment rate has reached 95% for many years. Depending upon the abundant results and disciplines construction, the Faculty will make every effort to contribute to the development of the university and western regions. The Faculty will insist on academic exchange both domestically and internationally.

Application time
The deadline for application is September 1 every year.
The academic spring semester is from March to July, while the fall semester is from September to January.
Entry requirements
For Bachelor’s degree:
Be 18 years old, senior high school graduate, HSK3 certificate or above, in good physical condition.
For Master’s degree:
Have Bachelor’s degree or above, HSK3 certificate or above, academic score list, 2 recommended letters from two associate professors or above, in good physical condition.
For Doctoral degree:
Have Master’s degree or above, HSK3 certificate or above, academic score list, 2 recommended letters from two associate professors or above, in good physical condition.
