The Faculty of Computer and Control at Guilin University of Electronic Technology has a long history which ca be traced back to the year 1980. Its precursor was regarded as the Department of Computer Science which was the earliest department authorized to offer Master’s degree in Guangxi Province.
At present, the Faculty has a complete discipline system and is able to offer undergraduate and postgraduate programs. It has an enrollment of abundant students from all over the world. It is home to 6 master-level programs, covering Computer Application Technology, Computer Software and Theory, Control Theory and Control Engineering, Systematical Engineering, Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence, Navigation, Guidance and Control. The Faculty is also running 8 bachelor-level programs, namely Computer Science and Technology, Automation, Digital Multimedia Technology, Information Management and Information Systems, Software Engineering, Information Security Technology, Network Engineering, Intelligence Science and Technology.
The Faculty has complete teaching and scientific research facilities and public service system. For many years, the Faculty lays great emphasize on training the students’ morality, intelligence, gymnastics and beauty. It aims to train students of rich knowledge of ideology, strong practical ability, high comprehensive quality, as well as applied senior technology. The students are very popular with the employers.
The Faculty has a close relationship with lots of domestic and international famous universities. It aims to developed itself into a nationally-advanced, provincially-best, comprehensive school of teaching-research type with feasible disciplinary formation and excellent systems for training, research and social service as well as to be characteristic of outstanding engineering.

Application time
The deadline for application is September 1 every year.
The academic spring semester is from March to July, while the fall semester is from September to January.
Entry requirements
For Bachelor’s degree:
Be 18 years old, senior high school graduate, HSK3 certificate or above, in good physical condition.
For Master’s degree:
Have Bachelor’s degree or above, HSK3 certificate or above, academic score list, 2 recommended letters from two associate professors or above, in good physical condition.
For Doctoral degree:
Have Master’s degree or above, HSK3 certificate or above, academic score list, 2 recommended letters from two associate professors or above, in good physical condition.
