Day 1 Beijing/Taiyuan
At 20:30 in the evening, Take the train K601 (semi-cushioned berths) to Taiyuan, the capital of Shanxi Province
Day 2 Taiyuan/Pingyao
Have a visit of Changjia Garden, the No 1 residence of Chinese Confucian Businessman. Transfer to Pingyao City, which is thought of as the 'treasure house' of ancient Chinese architectures. You will pass through the ancient town and take a walk along the Ming and Qing old street (the Wall Street of ancient China). After a delicious lunch of local specialty, continue to visit the money exchange shop of Jin Province (the earliest bank). (L)
Day 3 Xuankong Temple /Datong
Morning the coach will take you to Yingxian Wooden Tower, which is the highest and oldest wooden pagoda of China. Transfer to Hengshan Mountain and explore its No.1 scenery ------Xuankong Temple. Take a bus to Datong. (B/L/D)
Day 4 Yungang Grottoes /Shahukou /Beijing
Take a half-day tour to the Yungang Grottoes, the oldest one of the three major cave clusters in China, which was built in the Northern Wei Dynasty. After lunch, continue to the Shahukou Pass----a famous majestic pass of North China. Transfer to take the departure train K606 at 22:59. (B/L/D)
Day 5 Beijing
Get back to Beijing at 05:10 in the morning.
