Nanjing-Zhenjiang-Yangzhou-Wuxi (4 days)
Nanjing, as one of the famous ancient cities in China, has been a hot tourist destination for foreign travelers who want to know more about Chinese ancient culture. This tour will lead you into a world of elegance.
Day 1 Nanjing
First you will pay a visit to the most famous lake of Jingling(which was the ancient name of Nanjing)-----Mochou Lake. Located on the western side of Hanzhong Lu, Nanjing City, Mochou Lake occupies an area of 47 hectares (about 116 acres). Once a part of the Yangtze River, gradually became a lake as the course of the river wavered from the Yangtze River to the Qinhuai River. It is well-known worldwide for its beautiful scenery and rich cultural resources.
Then transfer to the Confucius Temple, which is located on the north bank of the Qinhuai River. The temple was erected during the Song Dynasty. All around the temple are numerous souvenir shops, snack bars, restaurants, and entertainment venues, all housed in Ming and Qing Dynasty style architecture. (L/D)
Day 2 Yangzhou
The coach will take you to the famous tourist city---Yangzhou. There is an old Chinese poem which says ”If we divide the beautiful moon light into three parts, then unfairly two of them are given to Yangzhou”, you can imagine how romantic the city is .Here you will visit the Slender West Lake, as its name shows ,it is more exquisite and delicate than the West Lake in Hangzhou.
After that ,you will enjoy some free time in the city proper. (B/L/D)
Day 3 Zhenjiang/Wuxi
Zhenjiang, a fresh and beautiful city on the south bank of the Yangtze River, and inlaying at the intersection of the Yangtze River and Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, connects Nanjing to the west and Shanghai to the east. It is a famous historical & cultural city, with a long history of over 2500 years.
There you will visit Jinshan Temple, the most famous local tourist attraction. The architectures conform harmoniously with the hill so it is said "The Temple Wraps the Gold Hill". Most Chinese people know about Gold Hill Temple for "The Romance of Miss White Snake" and the story of "White Snake Flooded the Gold Hill “. The beautiful legend makes it more attractive. (B/L/D)
After that, take a bus to Wuxi.
Day 4 Wuxi
In Wuxi, first you will tour the Lingshan Buddha Statue, and watch the big buddhist affair performance---Jiulongguanyu. After that you will enjoy the beautiful scenery of Tai Lake and regale yourself on a wonderful vegetable banquet.
In the afternoon, visit the Wuxi Zisha art institute and watch the pot-making procedure. Take a train back home. (B/L)
