College of Energy and Power Engineering (CEPE) is one of the colleges with longest history in Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Its precursor was the Department of Piston Engine and the Department of Jet Engine. It was finally turned into the present new college in 2000.
Currently, the College covers the following 3 Bachelor’s degree programs: Aircraft Power Engineering, Thermal Energy and Power Engineering, and Vehicle Engineering, 4 second-level master programs and one first-level master program, 5 second-level doctoral programs, and one mobile post-doctoral research station. Aerospace Propulsion Theory and Engineering is known as the key discipline and Aircraft Power Engineering is the brand-major in Jiangsu Province. Now, it has an enrollment of over 1360 undergraduate students, 350 postgraduate students and 100 doctoral students.
The College has a capacity of high-qualified staff teaching and scientific research. There are 108 staff members with 82 full-time teachers and 10 technicists in laboratories. Among them, 22 of them are full professors including 17 doctoral supervisors and 25 of them are associate professors. Besides, it also invites over 40 domestic and international famous professors or scholars to work as part-time teachers in the college. The College covers a large number of professors and scholars and academic leaders who have great influence in the academic world at home and abroad.
The College attaches great importance to academic exchange and it has close relationship with lots of domestic and international universities. Every year a considerable number of international scholars come here for academic exchange. Meanwhile, it send many teachers abroad for further study, visit and participating in international academic exchange as well. Relying on the high-qualified work talents, the advanced and reasonable teaching methods with sufficient hardware facilities, as well as outstanding students, it is sure that the College will make a large step in the real future.

For Bachelor Degree Students
The Application dates are from March 15th to August 30th.
For Master and Ph.D. Degree Students
The Application dates for the spring semester are from September 15th to December 31 of the year prior to enrollment, and for the fall semester, from March 1 to August 10 of the year of enrollment.
Entry requirements
For Bachelor’s degree
Under the age of 25, a high school graduate or with equivalent qualification, able to take courses in Chinese (passing the 4th level HSK), or to major in either Aeronautical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering taught in English medium
For Master’s degree
Under the age of 40, a B.S. degree or equivalent qualification, able to take courses in English or in Chinese (reaching the 4th level HSK), two letters of recommendation from persons of at least associate professor status.
For Doctoral degree
Under the age of 45, a M.S. degree or equivalent qualification, able to take courses in English or in Chinese (reaching the 4th level HSK), two letters of recommendation from persons of at least associate professor status.
