The School of Culture and Social Development Studies of Southwest University is based on the former School of Management of Southwest Normal University. It is established by amalgamating related majors of the School of Administration, which belongs to former Southwest Normal University, and of the School of Humanities, which belongs to the former Southwest Agriculture University.
The school has outstanding faculty members. Now they has totally 80 faculties and staffs, 60 of them are professors and associate professors. And 16 faculty members are supervisors of master students. There has been over 300 papers (written by their scholars) published every year in SCI or SSCI or A&HCI responded journals.
The School recruits undergraduates major in Social Work, Labor and Social Security, Public Relations, Culture Industry Management, International Culture Trade, Marketing and so on; postgraduates major in Sociology and Applied Psychology as well as masters major in Applied Psychology.
The school takes the most distinguished management form—Family, School, Army as the work guidance, and discipline the youth with the guideline of “Possessing lofty Ideals, Noble Characters, Immortal Works, Glorious Feats”. Their School attaches great importance to the scientific research of Culture science, Sociology, and subjects related to culture and social development. They arrange the most excellent culture resource for various serving subjects with brand new view, and redevelop kinds of integration and transmission of culture resource as well as social service. While cultivating and conveying high qualified culture and social management talents for Party and government organizations, various large and medium－sized enterprises, and institutions, the school tries their best to send students to study further.
They also try to promote diversity and international exposure. They have significant collaboration with foreign universities.

Entry requirements
Bachelor’s Program: The applicants should have had senior high school education and enjoy good health. Students are required to complete the curriculum in 4 years and fulfill the designated number of credits.
Master’s Program: The applicants should submit the certificates of bachelor’s degree and two letters of recommendation from two professors, or associate professors. The applicants should be in good health.
Doctoral Program: The applicants should submit the certificate of master’s degree and two letters of recommendation from two professors, or associate professors, or scholars with equivalent academic titles, so as to be checked for enrollment. The applicants should be in good health and are required to complete the curriculum between 3-6 years.
