1. Brief Introduction:
Shanxi University, founded in 1902, is one of the three earliest established national universities in China. The university has 18 schools covering philosophy, law, education, liberal arts, history, science, engineering, medical science and management, offering 69 individual undergraduate specialties, 4 post-doctoral research stations, 24 doctoral programs, and 90 Master degree programs. It has a national base of Chinese Language and Culture Education designated by the State Council. At present, Shanxi University has 10,713 undergraduate students and 2,200 graduate students.
Shanxi University has established intercollegiate relationships with 38 universities and research institutions all over the world and it has enrolled overseas students since 1981. Over 1,000 overseas students from dozens of countries and areas such as England, America, Russia, Canada, Japan, Korea, France, Italy, Romania, Syria, Brazil, Mongolia, Nigeria and Hong Kong etc. have studied in Shanxi University.
2. Programs:
All programs, undergraduates, graduates, Ph.D., and language training courses are available to international students:
Undergraduates Programs: Chinese Literature, Law, Archaeology, Information Technology Environment Protection, Biology, Public Management, etc.
Graduates Programs: Ethics, Sociology, Philosophy of Science and Technology, International Private Law, Educational Psychology, Ancient Chinese Literature, Practical Linguistics, Chinese Painting, etc.
Ph.D Programs: History of Science and Technology , Chinese Modern History, Optics, Computer Application, Administrative Science and Technology, etc.
3. Qualifications Required:
1. To be in good health
2. To respect Chinese laws and school regulations
3. Those wanting to attain a Bachelor degree must have a high middle school diploma
4. Those wanting to attain a Master degree must have Bachelor degree
5. Those wanting to attain a Ph.D must have Master degree

4. Guardian’s certificate
5. Health certificate
6. Chinese Proficiency Test band 6 (HSK6 ) certificate for degree applicant
7. Service Charge: USD 200
The money will be used to assist with the registration procedure. If the applicant registers on time the money will be included as part payment of the tuition fee; if the applicant fails to check in, the money will not be refunded.
