Day by day itinerary
Day 1 Chengdu-Urumqi
Leave Chengdu for Urumqi by plane.
Day 2 Urumqi-Turfan
Go to Turfan by bus. Turfan is the lowest place in the world, which is 154 meters under the sea level. Visit the Jiaohe Ancient City, Mountain of Flames, Karez and Grape Valley. In the evening, visit the Turfan Culture Square.
Day 3 Turfan-Urumqi
Visit the Nanshan Pasture after breakfast and experience the unique customs of Kazak nationality. In the evening, return to Urumqi. Along the journey travelers can admire the biggest wind power plant of Asia-----Dabancheng Power plant, as well as the beautiful landscape of salty lake.
Day 4
Visit the Tianchi Lake. The lake is very famous in China because of its picturesque sceneries: the lake is crystal clear with lush trees and various animals; it is surrounded by snow mountains. In the afternoon, visit the local big market-----bazaar. In the evening, visit the Red Mountain Park.
Day 5
Take free activities in the morning and return to Chengdu by plane.
