Introduction of Zhejiang Province
Zhejiang is home to many minority ethnic groups including Han, Hui, Manchu and Miao. Zhejiang is the province with the most islands in China, with more than 200 islands along its coast.
Climate
Zhejiang has a humid subtropical climate with four distinct seasons. Spring starts in March and
is rainy and weather is changeable. Summer, from June to September is long, hot and humid. Fall is generally dry, warm and sunny. Winters are short but cold except in the far south. Average annual temperature is around 15 to 19°C, average January temperature is around 2 to 8°C, and average July temperature is around 27 to 30°C. Annual precipitation is about 1000 to 1900 mm. There is plenty of rainfall in early summer, and by late summer Zhejiang is directly threatened by typhoons forming in the Pacific.

Baoguo Temple
Baoguo Temple is a Mahayana Buddhist temple located in Jiangbei district, 15km north of Ningbo, in Zhejiang, China. It is famous as the oldest surviving wooden structure in southern China, as the main hall of the present temple dates back to 1013 in the Northern Song dynasty. The temple was originally named Lingshan Temple, but was later renamed to Baoguo Temple in 880, during the Tang.
Mount Putuo is an island located to the south-east of Shanghai, in Zhoushan prefecture of Zhejiang province, China. It is famous in Chinese Buddhism, and is considered the bodhimanda of Avalokitesvara (Guan Yin), a revered Bodhisattva in many parts of East Asia.

Dongpo Pork
Dongpo's pork is a famous Hangzhou dish which is made of stewing five-layered pork. The five
layers consist of skin, fat, lean meat, another layer of fat and a final layer of lean meat. In general it is a piece around 2 inches square, half fat, half lean meat. The mouth feel is oily but not greasy, with the fragrance of wine, and very delicious.
