Introduction
The School of Mechanical Engineering is the second school in Tsinghua University,Every year, nearly 600 undergraduate; 400 Master degree students and 140 Doctorate students graduate from the school. Meanwhile, the school also provide courses of "Manufacturing Processes and Methods", "Mechanics", and "Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer", as well as industrial training to all students of non-mechanical majors in the university.
Career prospects
The School of Mechanical Engineering produces engineering graduates who are conversant with the latest technologies and techniques and employment prospects are excellent. Engineering graduates find jobs in a wide spectrum of industries in China and overseas. A significant proportion goes on to further study.
Entry requirements
◆ Students aged 23 or over can matriculate by reason of mature years. Knowledge of mathematics and science is highly desirable.
◆have a fascination for software systems and programming (preferably in object-oriented languages);
◆ be capable of working hard on difficult projects;
◆ be willing and able to contribute to group work;
◆ have the ability to set your own goals and manage your time;
◆ be self-critical and to evaluate your own performance fairly;
◆ have good communication skills, able to explain your ideas in presentations and in writing.
