The School of Clinical Medicine is a school for teaching, medical treatment and scientific research. It is a third-grade class-A comprehensive Chinese medicine hospital and national demonstration Chinese medicine hospital which has a certain influence inside and outside the province, characteristic professional subjects and complete facilities. It is a well-known center for medical treatment, teaching and scientific research in Southwest region.
Currently, the School of Clinical Medicine has a key discipline of the Ministry of Education, a key discipline of the state administration of traditional Chinese medicine and a western key-support discipline of the state administration of traditional Chinese medicine. Besides, it has 2 priority projects which are the first batch of key disciplines in Sichuan Province, 5 provincial-level key disciplines, 2 provincial level core curriculums, 3 provincial level high-quality curriculums, etc. Of all the teachers, 8 are academic leaders of Sichuan, 29 enjoy the special government allowance of the state council, 111 are master’s tutors and 35 are doctoral tutors. This school also has two doctoral programs of first-level discipline. At presents, there are 141 scientific research projects are being studied, including 5 11th five-year plan technology and science support key projects, 2 10th five-year plan critical projects, 6 “863” projects and 2 projects which are financed by doctoral fund of ministry of education.
The School of Clinical Medicine undertakes the teaching task of junior college students, undergraduate students, master students and doctoral students. Currently, it has 7 master’s programs, 4 doctoral programs, 1 seven-year program of traditional Chinese medicine major which was jointly established with Sichuan University, 1 seven-year traditional Chinese medicine major jointly established with West China Medical University. It also has 4 undergraduate programs, i.e., traditional Chinese medicine, bone fracture, five sense organs, combination of Chinese traditional medicine and western medicine. And it has one junior college student’s program--- advanced nursing. School of Clinical Medicine has 12 teaching and research sections and 4 comprehensive laboratories. In this year, there are 829 students at this school, including 95 master degree candidates and 46 doctoral degree candidates. This school arranges the clinical practice field for nearly 200 undergraduate students every year. Meanwhile, it receives over 200 students to come for advanced studies.

Entry Requirements
Undergraduates: The applicant provides the high school certificate and the academic records, with the Certificate of Band-5 in Chinese Proficiency Exam (HSK). If the Chinese is not up to the requirement (HSK-5), learning Chinese for one or two years in China is required.
Master candidates: College graduate, recommendation of two vice-professors or with titles above, having passed tests; or graduating as an undergraduate in China in the same year, excellent in course, recommended to be admitted without entrance examinations. At least Grade C qualification of Chinese Proficiency Exam (HSK) is necessary.
Doctor candidates: Postgraduate, recommended by more than two vice-professors, entrance tests passed. At least Grade C qualification of Chinese Proficiency Exam (HSK) is necessary.
