College of Communication and Information Engineering in Chongqing University of Post and Telecommunications is composed of Department of Engineering wire and Department of the Electronic Information Engineering. Since its establishment in 1959, it has trained more than 12,000 undergraduates. At present, 3,000 full-time students are studying for this program, with the total number exceeds any other college. Its 135 staff, including PhD supervisors, Professors, Associate Professors, Senior Engineers, has formed a high-level team that enjoys great reputation in the areas of teaching and scientific research.
The College offers four undergraduate programs, including Communication Engineering, Electronic Information Engineering, Electronic Information Science and Technology, Information Engineering. It also offers four postgraduate programs, which include Communication and Information System, Signal and Information Processing, Measuring Technology and Apparatuses, Electrician Theory and New Technology. Undertaking more than 100 grand scientific projects assigned by the National Natural Science Foundation, 863 issues, 8th Five Year Plan, or 9th Five Year Plan, it has achieved good economic and social impact at home or abroad as a number of projects have been industrialized and its wide relationships with domestic and international contemporaries in academic exchange.
The College also attaches great importance to undergraduate program, strives to promote postgraduate program and has a breakthrough in Doctor’s degree, making it one of the Colleges which can assign Doctor’s degree. Strongly believing in the importance of deepening the reform of education, it adopts several efficient measures: broaden the field of majors; adapt its educational programs to the needs of the society; reform its curriculum and improve teaching methods.

Application time
Application is accepted at any time of the year in CQUPT. And the spring semester begins around the beginning of March, while the fall semester begins at the beginning of September.
Entry requirements
For Bachelor’s program: Be in good health condition; with senior high school diploma and HSK certificate of level 4 or above;
For Master’s program: Be in good health condition; with Bachelor degree and HSK certificate of level 6 or above;
Note: for preparatory students, they should be with senior high school diploma and without Chinese knowledge;

Note: for foreign students who want to learn Wushu, the tuition fee is RMB 7,000 for one semester and 14000 for one year; For Chinese language learning, the tuition fee is RMB 600 for one week, RMB 6000 for one semester and RMB 12,000 for one year.
