8-day tour of Urumqi, Turpan, Yining, Sailimu Lake, Nalati Prairie, Heavenly Mountain and Heavenly Lake (round-trip flights)
In the history of the world’s ancient civilizations, the Silk Road had a far-reaching influence of the economic and cultural exchanges and development of countries along its path. As you began your journey along this famous Silk Road, may you learn its history, understand its culture, experience its historical changes, and enjoy its sights.
Day 1: Nanjing-Urumqi
Arrive at Nanjing, fly to Urumqi, transfer to the hotel.
Day 2: Wushi-Turpan
Take a bus to Turpan in the morning, enjoy the view of “Xinjiang Dead Sea”---Salty Lake, Asia’s largest wind power station---Dabancheng Power Station on the way. Visit the Flaming Mountain and ancient city---jiaohe Gucheng. Then visit Uighur old village, one of the greatest water conservancy projects in ancient China---Karez, Green Treasure---Grape Valley. Take a visit to Uighur family. Then take a bus back to Wushi and visit Crafts Carpets Factory.
Day 3: Wushi-qingshui River
Take a bus to Yili in the morning, passing through Guozigou Scenic Spot, enjoying the beautiful view of Sailimu Lake. You can ride a horse (35yuan/person/hour).
Day 4: Qingshui River-Nalati
Take a bus to the largest port of the frontier of China and Kazak---Huoerguosi Port, sightseeing and shopping freely. Then take a bus to Nalati Grand Prairie, the place where the sun rises, you can take a tour bus or ride a horse (your own expense). In the evening join the bonfire party of minority, singing and dancing (Your own expense).
Day 5: Nalati-Yining
Free time on the prairie in the morning, then take a bus back to Yining, enjoy the magnificent view of sunset. Watch the night scenery of Yining City freely at night.
Day 6: Yining-Wushi
Take a bus back to Urumqi in the morning, enjoying the beautiful view of Heavenly Mountain on the way. Arrive at Wushi in the evening.
Day 7: Wushi-Heavenly Mountain and Heavenly Lake
Take a bus to “the peal on the Heavenly Mountain”---Heavenly Lake and enjoy the amazing view of the mountain and the lake. Then back to Wushi and visit Tianshan large pharmacy and Hetian Jade of Fushide Shop. Freely visit Erdaoqiao International Grand Bazaar or wuyi Star Night Market.
Day 8: Nanjing
Fly back to Nanjing according to the flight schedule. Journey ends.
Accommodation: 3-star hotels in Wushi, regular standard rooms in Qinghui River, Yining and Nalati.
