On the afternoon of October 9th, Ms.Syliva A, an Marine Expert from the United States National Geographic visited DMU and gave an academic lecture to the students.
On behalf of DMU, Prof. Liu Zhengjiang, Vice-President of DMU, extended warm welcome to the guests. He introduced the general information of DMU and its cooperation and exchange with USA colleges.
Ms. Earle and the officers of US Consulate General Shenyang expressed their sincere thanks to the warm welcome and reception from DMU. They said they were glad to know DMU's cooperative links with USA colleges.
After the meeting, Ms. Sylvia Earle gave a lecture on “How to Protect the Azure Heart of Our Planet” to the students in the Conference Hall on the 2nd floor of the Administration Building. Ms. Sylvia Earle’s lecture was conducted in a warm atmosphere, by means of multimedia, such as PowerPoint, videos and pictures, which gained high recognition from the students. The students asked many questions after the lecture.
Ms. Earle was accompanied by Mr. Justin Walls, Vice Consul for Press and Cultural Affairs, Consulate General of the United States, Mr. Robert Pastore, Vice Consul Political and Economic Section, Consulate General of the United States, Mr. Jin Ji Nan, POL/ECON Assistant, Consulate General of the United States of America and Ms.Yu Li, Cultural Assistant, US Consulate General.
