Vice Rector of Saint-Petersburg State Marine Technical University visited DMU

On the afternoon of September 19th, a delegation headed by Professor Kirill Rozhdestvenskii, Vice Rector of Russian Saint-Petersburg State Marine Technical University (SMTU, Russia), visited DMU. Prof. Liu Zhengjiang, Vice-President of DMU received the guests in meeting room 917 of the Administration Building.
Prof. Liu extended warm welcome to the guests. He said that he visited the Russian Makarov State Maritime Academy ten years ago. The development of DMU is inseparable from the support of Russia. He was deeply grateful to many colleges of the former Soviet Union back in the 1950s for their assistance to the construction of DMU. He believed that this visit would further promote the exchanges between DMU and SMTU.
Prof. Kirill Rozhdestvenskii expressed their thanks for the warm reception and made a concise introduction of SMTU. He said that DMU is a “National Project 211” university which enjoys a high reputation in China and the entire world. He hoped that this visit would strengthen cooperation of both universities in many areas such as marine engineering and ship design.
After the meeting, Prof. Liu Zhengjiang and Prof. Kirill rozhdestvenskii signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on behalf of two universities. Both sides agreed to encourage the exchange of faculty and students as well as participation in joint research activities.
Prof. Kirill Rozhdestvenskii was accompanied by Professor Anatoly Konstantinov, who was in charge of the university's social, cultural and youth matters.
