The Predecessor of the College of Resource and Environment was the Department of Soil Agrochemistry in Fujian Agricultural College and the Department of Soil and Environment in Fujian Agricultural University. In the 1990s, the major Land Management and Agriculture Environmental Protection was set up in order to adapt to the rapid development of the social economy in the 1990s, and was later renamed the department of Soil and Environment in 1994. In May 2001, the College of Resource and Environment was established on the basis of the merger of Fujian Agricultural College and Fujian Agricultural University.
The College of Resource and Environment now has 3 departments, namely the Department of Agricultural Resources and Environment, the Department of Land & Resources and the Department of Environmental Engineering. The experimental center is made up of the Lab of Resources Environment and Chemistry, the Lab of Resources Environment and Planning, the Lab of Environmental Engineering, the Simulation Lab of Water Pollution Control, the Simulation Lab of Air Pollution Control, the Geographical Information System Lab, the Environmental Monitoring Lab, the Lab of Soil and Agriculture Chemical Analysis and the Lab of Agricultural Supply Analysis. There are also a Research Institute of Resource and Environment Engineering Technology and the Research Institute of Environmental Science.
The main direction of studying of the teachers in College of Resource and Environment covers environmental chemistry of soil, autecology, soil corrosion and management, resource evaluation and planning, plant nutrition and fertilization, agricultural residue recycling, environmental microbiology, organic pollutants in environment and remote sensing technology in agriculture. Moreover, the teachers have published research papers on “European Journal of Soil Scienc”, "Science of the Total Environment”, "Environmental Pollution”, "Journal of Environmental Radioactivity”, "Pedosphere” and so on.

For international students, the academic year begins in September. The duration for application is from March 1st to June 30th.
Entry Requirements
Bachelor’s degree: Be above 18 years old and under the age of 35, senior high school graduate, HSK3 certificate or above, the copy of score list, in good health.
Master’s degree: Have Bachelor’s degree or above, under the age of 40, HSK3 certificate or above, the copy of score list and diploma, 2 recommended letters from two associate professors or above, in good health.
Doctoral degree: Have Master’s degree or above, under the age of 40, the copy of score list and diploma, 2 recommended letters from two associate professors or above, in good health.
