Scholarship for self-paying international students of Fujian Medial University
2. Candidates for scholarship selection
Self-paying full-time international students with student’s status at our university, excluding short-term training students and international exchange students.
3. Requirements for scholarship application
1) Students who meet the following requirements are entitled to scholarship application.
a. Compliance with laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China and rules and regulations of Fujian Medical University.
b. Comprehensive academic performance that academic year ranks top 70% (including 70%) of the class.
2) Students with one of the following situations are not qualified for scholarship application.
a. Receiving warning or more severe punishments for violation of college discipline during that academic year
b. Over 20 hours (including 20 hours) of absence in total with random inspection in a semester
c. Failing over one (including one) required courses during that academic year
Delay in payment of tuition, accommodation, insurance and other expenses
4. Quota and Criteria
The number of scholarship candidates accounts for less than 30% of the total number of self-funded overseas students of the class of the major. There are three classes: first-class scholarship accounts for 5%, with 2200 RMB per year; second-class scholarship accounts for 10%, with 1500 RMB per year; third-class scholarship accounts for 15%, with 1000 RMB per year.
5. Procedures for scholarship selection
Students file applications with the college in written form. Scholarship Selection Committee conducts the first review. After 5 working days of display of the preliminary list for public review on college website, the preliminary list without objection is to be submitted to the Leading Group of University Student Grants for review. After 5 working days of display of the list within the university, the university announces the results for the scholarship.
6. Way of Reward
The college makes and issues the certificates in accordance with the requirements of the university. Award of scholarship will be recorded in students’ personal files.
