The School of Economic was founded on the basis of the Institute of Law which was founded on December 8, 1994. This institute merged with the original School of Management and some majors of the College of Computer Science and established the School of Economic in June, 2003. This school can be divided into department of economics, department of business administration and financial department. Currently, there are over 30,000 books and documents, multimedia room with over 300 equipments in this school. Besides, it has advanced laboratories and modern instructional instruments. All these create a good condition for the teaching and scientific research of this school.
This school has powerful teaching force. Currently, there are 96 teaching and administrative staff, in which, 75 are full-time teachers, and 13 are professors, 15 are associate professors, 10 are doctoral tutors, 25 are master tutors, and 84% of the teachers have doctor’s degrees or master’s degrees.
This school takes strong measure to promote the development of the discipline construction. Now, it has one first level doctor program, 6 second-level doctor programs and one mobile station for post doctoral scientific research. The mobile station is the only theoretical economics center for post-doctoral studies among the normal universities of China. Besides, it has one national personnel training base of economics foundation, one provincial key discipline of “project 211” and 8 master’s programs, such as political economics, industrial economics, western economics, history of economic thinking, etc. In addition, it has 5 undergraduate programs- economics, finance and banking, business administration, marketing and financial management.
Currently, this school has formed the personnel training system from the training of bachelors and masters to doctors. There are nearly 2,000 various kinds of students at this school, in which, over 1,200 are full-time undergraduate students and over 120 are graduate students. Since 1979, this school has already recruited over 50 doctors of political economics and 189 masters, in which, 27 doctors and 129 masters have already graduated and gained the degrees. And some of them have already become domestic famous economists, some of them have become the president and general manager of domestic famous enterprises and some of them have become the professors, doctoral tutors and leaders of colleges and universities.

Application Time
Under normal conditions, those seeking to enroll in September should apply before the end of June; those seeking to enroll in February should apply before the end of December of the previous year; in special condition, students could apply to join the classes during the middle of the semester.
Entry Requirements
Undergraduates: senior high school graduate; HSK Band 6 or above; in good health.
Master candidates: Under 35 years old; Have a Bachelor’s degree or above; HSK Band 6 or above; in good health.
Doctor candidates: Under 40 years old; Have a Master’s degree or above, HSK Band 6 or above; in good health.
