The Faculty of Chinese Language and Culture (FCLC), was founded in 2005, based on the Faculty of International Cultural Exchange of the former Guangzhou Institute of Foreign Languages. The Faculty confers four Bachelor's degrees, namely:
Bachelor's degree in Chinese Language and Literature;
Bachelor's degree in Chinese Language (Senior Foreign-oriented Secretary);
Bachelor's degree in Chinese Language (Management of Foreign-oriented Culture);
Bachelor's degree in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language.
It also offers two master's degrees:
Master's degree in Literature and Art;
Master's degree in Comparative Literature and World Literature.
FCLC counts a staff of 25 teachers, including doctoral tutors, master tutors, 10 professors and 13 associate professors. Its graduates are quite competitive and popular on the job market. In addition, FCLC provides the Chinese Language Proficiency Test for foreign students studying at GDUFS' Mandarin Training Center.
