Since its foundation in 1997, the School of International Trade and Economics has gradually formed the multidisciplinary development pattern. It has 5 undergraduate programs including international economics and trade, finance and banking, financial engineering, economics, risk management and insurance. Besides, it has the programs of full-English teaching of international economics and trade, full-English teaching of finance and banking, double degrees of international trade, international trade and finance. Besides, School of International Trade and Economics has 3 master’s programs, i.e., international trade, regional economics and global economy. It also has lots of scientific research institutions, such as international trade and WTO research institute, research institute of global economy, regional economics research institutes, research institute of economic history, research institute of finance and banking, research institute of European Union economics, etc. The international economics and trade research center mainly depends on School of International Trade and Economics.
The School of International Trade and Economics has a meticulous teaching team. The teachers of this team have high academic level and academic influences. Of the 80 full-time teachers, 24 are professors, 35 are associate professors, 33 are holders of doctoral degrees and 20 teachers are doctoral students.
Relying on the high-quality teaching team, the School of International Trade and Economics has obtained outstanding achievements at the aspect of scientific research. Since 1997, it has undertaken over 100 scientific research projects, in which, over 50 were provincial and ministerial level or above. And 60 of the projects have won awards, in which, 34 were provincial and ministerial level or above. Besides, this school has published over 60 monographs and teaching materials. It has also published over 1,000 academic theses, in which, over 600 were core journals.
The School of International Trade and Economics devotes itself to providing the society with high-quality service. It actively participates in the social economic construction of Guangdong Province. And it has done lots of scientific research projects and consultative projects for all circles of Guangdong Province. Besides, it has provided numerous talent training programs for national foreign trade department, governments at all levels, enterprises and public institutions, etc. And it has cultivated lots of high-level talents of foreign trade.

Application Time
For international students, the academic year begins in September. The duration for application is from March 1st to June 30th.
Entry Requirements
Undergraduates: senior high school graduate; HSK Band 3 or above; in good health.
Master candidates: Have a Bachelor’s degree or above; HSK Band 3 or above; in good health.
