After experiencing more than 20 years of trials and hardships, the School of Nursing has become an institute with a fresh look and full of vigor and vitality. The history of the School can be traced back to 1985, during which GDPU started to offer nursing diploma programs. In 2003, approved by Department of Education of Guangdong Province, GDPU Department of Clinical Medicine set up a full-time 3-year nursing diploma programs. After approved by the National Education Ministry, GDPU School of Clinical Medicine started with the first 4-year Bachelor of Nursing Science in 2005. Grasping the opportunity of ever-flouring higher nursing education, GDPU, in order to vigorously develop its nursing specialty, established its School of Nursing in 2008.
Currently, the School of Nursing has set up 2 affairs offices, 4 teaching-researching offices and one nursing skills training center. At present, the School has 9 professors of Nursing, 10 part-time clinical nursing teachers, and several nursing experts from some famous organizations in China such as Guangdong Branch of Chinese Nursing Association.
The School of Nursing in GDPU has advanced facilities for lecture and practical training. The nursing skills training center is equipped with advanced nursing teaching manikin devices at home and abroad. And a modernized laboratory with integrated, multi-function and open, digital features is under construction.
With characteristics of community nursing and nursing education internationalization, and guided by modern nursing teaching philosophy and school-training principle, the School will continuously upgrade its level and capacity of school-running, and cultivate advanced nurses oriented towards medical institutions at all levels, prevention and health care.
Since its establishment, the School attaches great importance to international exchange and research. And the graduates from the school have become the backbone of the society in the field of nursing.

For the Bachelor's program, the deadline for application is before the end of June each year;
Entry requirements
Senior high school graduates or above; Non-criminal record; Have good reading, listening, writing and speaking abilities of Chinese and can read Chinese textbooks; HSK 6 is required for liberal arts, economy, management students; HSK 3 or above is required for science, engineering and medical students.
Tuition fees
The tuition fee for Bachelor's program is RMB 16,500 per person/school year. The registration fee is RMB 430.
Note: Students should pay the tuition fee for each school year at one time. Tuition will not be given back when students leave school or suspend the schooling during the learning period.
